The Thing Double Pass Giveaway!

Antarctica: an extraordinary continent of awesome beauty. It is also home to an isolated outpost where a discovery full of scientific possibility becomes a mission of survival when an alien is unearthed by a crew of international scientists. The shape-shifting creature, accidentally unleashed at this marooned colony, has the ability to turn itself into a perfect replica of any living being. It can look just like you or me, but inside, it remains inhuman.

In the thriller The Thing, paranoia spreads like an epidemic among a group of researchers as they’re infected, one by one, by a mystery from another planet. The Thing serves as a prelude to John Carpenter’s classic 1982 film of the same name. Directed by Matthijs van Heijningen, the thriller is produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman (Dawn of the Dead).

That's right...you know right time it is!

Thanks to the wonderful folks from Universal Pictures Australia, we are giving you the chance to re-visit the timeless sci-fi classic in its most recent form....The Thing. To win 1 of 5 in-season double passes just answer the following: What movie would be greatly improved if a character from John Carpenter played by Kurt Russell was included in the cast. Just tell us which film, character and why on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments below and you will go into the draw. Winners will be drawn from the All Star Barrel 7pm Thursday the 13th of October.

Again thanks to Universal Pictures Australia and The Thing, in cinemas from the 13th of October.

  2. Any Vin Diesel movie would be greatly improved if he were to be replaced by Jack Burton from Big Trouble in Little China. Why? Does Vin Diesel really need a reason???

  3. ANY Period Drama (i.e. Stuff like Jane Austen) would be better with the inclusion of Snake Plissken. If only he weren't dead. Because any movie would be better with Snake Plissken. And period dramas suck the most.

  4. Jack Burton from Big Trouble In Little China in Sex and the city. Jack burton - "I made the right choice hiting the road on the porkchop express" after seeing how kim cattral turned out. "Ill take my chances with Lo pans monster". Pork chop express theme plays for no reason other then to highlight how awesome it is when Jack Burton speaks.

  6. Snake Plissken as a bounty hunter in Star Wars episode 1, sent to kill Anakin Skywalker before Mr. Lucas could turn him into a whiny little shite.
