GHOSTBUSTERS/ FRIGHT NIGHT ASTOR DOUBLE FEATURE TICKET GIVEAWAY!

The first multimillion-dollar scare comedy about the trio of flaky "paranormal investigators" who go into business flushing out ghosts and spirits in NYC. A huge box office hit, Ghostbusters features a sensational comedic cast including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver, that balance the fantastic with a razor sharp script that at once boggles with science-fiction nonsense jargon and classic Saturday Night Live humour. The Astor is pleased to welcome back this long standing favourite comedy, presented now for the first time in a sensational New Remastered 2K Digital Presentation through the Astor's amazing 4K digital projection system. Playing at select theatres throughout the world for a strictly limited engagement, this is your chance to see it in Melbourne! It's never looked so good!

The Astor is pleased to welcome back the ORIGINAL Fright Night to the big screen - all spruced up and re-mastered in 2K Digital Format after many, many years absent from the big screen. A consistent 80s horror favorite mixing scares and comedy, our protagonist Charley is teenage horror film addict who is shocked to discover that his new next-door neighbour is a vampire. Remade recently, the original is far superior and simple big screen fun.

So with many thanks to the wonderful folks at The Astor Theatre and local comic superstar Tristan Jones, we are lucky enough to be giving away 5 double passes to The Astor's Monday, January 30th screening of Ghostbusters and Fright Night. Both classics will be presented in 2K Digital format on the Astor's larger than life's big screen. Also to add a little extra to the evening, IDW and Ghostbusters writer/artist Tristan Jones will be on hand to meet and greet, along with a certain Puffy sailor. ;)

All you need to do to go into the draw to win one of the 5 double passes to this screening on Monday the 30th of January is tell us, if you had to choose the form of our Destructor, what would it be?

All entries will go into the All Star Barrel and will be drawn at random on Sunday the 29th of January at 5pm.
Again the screening is for Monday the 30th of January, so please only enter if you can in fact actually make it to the Astor that night.

Again a huge thanks The Astor Theatre and Tristan Jones.

  1. Brannon Brags. If he ruin star trek he is capable of destroying anything.

  2. The Muppet Babies. Adorable way to end things. Songs and Destruction. Imagine the gang are giants and the nursery is Melbourne CBD. Baby Piggy would cause a lot of damage with that tumble in the finale.
