Another week, full of great new reads and couple of re-packaged classics as well. Let's take a look.
Just like the Marvel Tales of old, you'll find some of Spider-Man's classic stories reprinted within MARVEL TALES SPIDER-MAN #1, featuring work from comic legends such as Stan Lee, John Romita Sr., Archie Goodwin, Don Heck, Al Milgrom and more. Within, you'll see: Spidey clash with Mysterio; the striking debut of Jessica Drew as the Spider-Woman, and round it out with a tale of the Black Cat trying to find Spider-Man in an event that will change her relationship with him forever.
Spinning out of the climactic conclusion of Guardians of the Galaxy #1, Donny Cates and Tradd Moore take you to where the former Herald of Galactus ended up after falling through the black hole in SILVER SURFER BLACK #1 (OF 5). In the face of oblivion, the Silver Surfer will not only have to fight the latest threat waiting to end him, he'll also need to prevent himself being lost to the great void of space.
Chip Zdarsky and Mark Bagley are back for the next installment in their ongoing, real-time, life adventure of Spider-Man with SPIDER-MAN LIFE STORY #4 (OF 6). It's the 1990s, the Cold War is heating up, and that's just another problem on the wearying mind of Peter Parker, as he must protect himself and his family from the madness that comes with a new war. This isn't the Spider-Man world you're used to, so all bets are off in this one; anything can, and will, happen.

Celebrating fifteen years since the release of the original series of Ride, Doug Wagner and Daniel Hillyard, the award-winning duo behind Plastic, continue the story with a miniseries beginning with RIDE BURNING DESIRE #1 (OF 5). Following her 15 year prison sentence on a plea for murder, Samantha Vega, a former Atlanta PD detective, now works as a bouncer at an erotic dance club. It's not much, but Vega might soon have a lot less if her enemies come after her now she's free. If all that wasn't exciting enough for you, then you'll have to stay for the Adam Hughes backup that accompanies the main story.
In a new series from David Hine and Brian Haberlin, a planet known as the Promised Land for two different people had lead to war in SONATA #1. The Rans were lovers of peace, but their hand was forced by the warrior race of Tayans, and now they'll fight until only one race is left standing. But despite all this conflict. did either side check if there was anything else inhabiting their supposedly Promised Land?

Ash Parsons has a gift for teleportation, and she's been raised to use it to provide for the family, no matter how illegal the means. But while Ash can teleport anything, like money, gold and accomplices, she can't teleport herself, so she has to trust in her family to catch her when she falls.
W. Maxwell Prince and Martin Morazzo are back with four more strange, sad stories of fantastic proportions with ICE CREAM MAN TP VOL 03 HOPSCOTCH MELANGE. Within those four anthology tales, you'll also learn more about the shady backstory of the dreaded, eponymous Ice Cream Man, and his ties to the dark cowboy, Caleb.
