New Comics For Wednesday 18th December

IT'S AN ALMOST XMAS....MONSTER!!!
EVERYBODY RUN!!!
This week's shipment is one of the BIGGEST we have ever faced and we need your help to make sure it doesn't bury us alive!
Check below at your own risk and let's get festive.

The fight for the future reaches it's timely conclusion with 2099 OMEGA #1, from Nick Spencer and Gerardo Sandoval. With the evil Dr. Doom in charge, and not a superhero around to stop him, Marvel in 2099 in a rough place to live, and with power left unbridled and no responsibility to channel it properly, is there any hope for a better future left?

Matthew Rosenberg and Manuel Garcia bring you ANNIHILATION SCOURGE OMEGA #1, which will present the state of the Marvel Universe after the Scourge's incursion. There is no more room for heroes or villains now, there is nothing left for the people but one thing... survival.

Following his return to Marvel after evolving the DC Universe with his New Gods, Jack Kirby was ready to upgrade Marvel's cosmic universe, beginning with the Eternals. Find out how it all begins with ETERNALS #1 FACSIMILE EDITION, which faithfully reproduces the first issue starring the eponymous characters, complete with original ads from the 1970s. If you're curious about the Eternals movie, check this one out to learn more about the MCU's latest debutantes.

With a brand new Annihilation event happening, get yourself acquainted with some it's big players with MARVEL TALES ANNIHILATION #1, featuring work from creators such as Steve Gerber, Don Heck, Jim Starlin, John Byrne and more. First off is a story from Daredevil that sees Heather Douglas first take on the name Moondragon; then find out who would win in a brawl between Wendell Vaughn, AKA Quasar, and the Thing when a case of mistaken identity comes between them and then the collection is rounded off with a team up between Daredevil, Captain America and Darkhawk. If you've never read any comics featuring Moondragon, Quasar or Darkhawk, you're missing out, and can't afford to pass on this great introductory issue.

The chain-wielding, bike riding, skull-flaming Frank Castle is back as the Cosmic Ghost Rider in a brand new miniseries, beginning with REVENGE OF COSMIC GHOST RIDER #1 (OF 5), from Dennis Hallum and Scott Hepburn. With the death of baby Thanos and his meddling in Marvel history, amongst other things, on his rap sheet, it was only a matter of time before the law caught up with Castle. But is there a prison in the cosmos that can keep the Cosmic Ghost Rider in chains? Also, Cosmic Ghost Rider creators, Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw return with a new short story, just to sweeten the deal.

With the dream team of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo scoring win after win for the Rebel Alliance against the Empire, the rebels have managed to establish a new hidden base on the icy planet of Hoth. But we all know where this leads, so find out how the Empire begins to strike back in STAR WARS EMPIRE ASCENDANT #1, from Charles Soule, Caspar Wijngaard and more.

Ben Solo, the Force-sensitive child of Leia Organa and Han Solo, is training to become a Jedi Knight with his uncle, Luke Skywalker. He may very well be the ultimate champion of the light, but with Skywalker blood in his veins, he is just as susceptible to falling to the Dark Side. Watch Ben's fall into becoming the dreaded Kylo Ren with STAR WARS RISE KYLO REN #1 (OF 4), from Charles Soule and Will Sliney.

A good man amongst an entire city of corrupt cops, Jim Gordon was a driving force for justice in Gotham City. But without his honour and sense of right and wrong, that force for good will be corrupted into a force for doom, just as the Batman Who Laughs has planned in INFECTED THE COMMISSIONER #1, from Paul Jenkins and Jack Herbert.

Carmen Maria Machado and Dani present the latest nightmarish series to come from Hill House Comics, and it all kicks off with LOW LOW WOODS #1 (OF 6). In the chilling town, Shudder-To-Think, Philadelphia, weird things inhabit the area, from rabbits with human eyes to a deer woman stalking hungry girls. In this town, two teenagers, El and Octavia, awake in a movie theatre with no memory of the last few hours of their lives, and what they discover in their town will frighten them unlike anything else before.

From the creative duo that brought you the acclaimed Injustice comics, Melbourne's very own Tom Taylor and artist Bruno Redondo, revitalize Task Force X with a brand new series, starting with SUICIDE SQUAD #1. A new team of super-terrorists, the Revolutionaries, are kicking up all sorts of horrific mayhem, and this brand new Suicide Squad, featuring old hands, Harley Quinn and Deadshot, working with new villains forced to do good. How will they fare, and who are all these new squaddies?

Gene Luen Yang's update on the classic Superman radio play, the Clan of the Fiery Cross, continues with SUPERMAN SMASHES THE KLAN #2 (OF 3), featuring more astounding artwork from Gurihiru. Tommy Lee, whose family has been target by the clan, has been kidnapped, and now Superman and Roberta, Tommy's sister, are on the lookout for him. But this Superman, in 1946, hasn't developed all his powers yet; he can't even fly! Will he still be more than a match for the fearsome Clan of the Fiery Cross?

We've seen Batman damned, we've seen Superman's early days, and now at last, thanks to Daniel Warren Johnson, we finally see Wonder Woman getting the Black Label treatment, beginning with WONDER WOMAN DEAD EARTH #1 (OF 4). In a Wonder Woman story unlike any other, with sci-fi trappings, a nuclear apocalypse has claimed the Earth. Princess Diana had left paradise to fight for man, but man destroyed itself while she slept for centuries, and she realises she has failed. Can Wonder Woman find redemption in saving those few humans left in the wasteland?

The saying goes that all good things must come to an end, but logically, that means all bad things must as well. Villains in the DC Universe have never had it as good as they have in the Year of the Villain, but their time is nearly up, and the end begins with YEAR OF THE VILLAIN HELL ARISEN #1 (OF 4), from James Tynion IV and Steve Epting. Lex Luthor has brought back Perpetua, and the Multiverse quakes in her presence, but she has a new enemy in the herald of the Dark Multiverse, the Batman Who Laughs. It's evil vs evil, and there can be only one victor. Who will survive?

From Grant Morrison and Dan Mora comes KLAUS LIFE & TIMES OF JOE CHRISTMAS #1, a special, mega-sized one-shot that presents twenty-five short stories about a baby taken in by Klaus, who would become none other than Joe Christmas. In a widescreen style reminiscent of Morrison's 2001 New X-Men Annual, Morrison and Mora present the greatest team-ups of Joe Christmas and Klaus, with an advent calender-esque method of storytelling.

Take a walk on the darker, grittier side of Jeff Lemire's Black Hammer universe with SKULLDIGGER & SKELETON BOY #1 (OF 6), from Lemire and Tonci Zonjic. In Spiral City, the streets are rife with crime and corruption, and injustice is just another next-door neighbour. Amidst it all, a new vigilante will rise to bring peace to the unquiet city, and that vigilante is Skulldigger. With his ward, Skeleton Boy, by his side, can they stop the latest villain looking to conquer Spiral City, the nefarious prison escapee, Grimjim?

From horror comic book writer extraordinaire, Cullen Bunn, comes the return of his terrifying, but beloved, southern-gothic horror series, with a new tale beginning in TALES FROM HARROW COUNTY DEATHS CHOIR #1 (OF 4). Set a decade following Emmy's departure from Harrow County, Bernice has taken over custodianship of the supernatural house. But with World War II consuming the entire world, men being drafted in the war is leaving their home county vulnerable to an attack from unnatural terrors. Can Bernice find a way to stop them before the county is overrun?

Spinning out of the popular Netflix series, Narcos, Ryan Ferrier and Vic Mahotra bring you a new miniseries, featuring DEA agents Murphy and Pena with NARCOS #1 (OF 4). During the height of the criminal activities of drug cartels in the 1990s, El Patron is trying to safeguard his drug empire from the threat of the DEA, while some new recruits may be causing trouble from within the DEA itself.

Based on the popular video game, 2064: Read Only Memories, comes a new series that expands the cyberpunk world of the game unlike anything before, and it all begins in READ ONLY MEMORIES #1, from Sina Grace and Stefano Simeone. In the state of California, not far from Neo-San Francisco, lies Santa Cruz, the town where Lexi Rivers has traded in her detective's badge for a PI license and opened up her own agency. Now it's Valentine's Day, and when a robot's human lover goes missing, Rivers is on the case.

The Duke of Wellington, publicly famous for his many victories against the nefarious Napoleon Bonaparte, was also privately renowned as a supreme monster hunter. In WELLINGTON #1 (OF 5), from the creator of the popular Lore podcast, Aaron Manhke, comic book writing veteran Delilah Dawson, and artist Piotr Kowalski, find out about the secret life of the Iron Duke and his service to Great Britain through destroying the hidden monsters that plagued it.

With a movie on the way, starring Charlize Theron, now is the perfect time to begin the highly anticipated new arc of Old Guard, beginning with OLD GUARD FORCE MULTIPLIED #1 (OF 5), from series creators Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez. Andromache of Scythia, the immortal leader of undying soldiers, are back, as are the big battles they were made to fight, and the burdens of their long lives. But, with a new member added to the team, will that be enough to reignite the passion in a group of soldiers that have been fighting for 6000 years?

The best part of Christmas is the anticipation before opening the wrapping paper on a gift you know nothing about. It's rather difficult to be truly surprised by your gifts as an adult, but thanks to Mark Millar and a special, secret artist, you can relive those days of anticipation once again with PROJECT X-MAS #1. With nothing known about the story, except that it is a continuation of one of Millar's most beloved works, the only thing we can guarantee is that it won't be the Ultimates. If you want to find out, be sure to have this little mystery added to your order, so you don't miss out.

With the trades sadly beginning to reach the end of their print life, if you want to check out one of the best parts of DC's New 52 line, then you can't pass on a copy of ANIMAL MAN BY JEFF LEMIRE OMNIBUS HC, from Jeff Lemire and a range of artists, including Travel Foreman, Steve Pugh, Rafael Albuquerque and more. Collecting all 30 issues, the two annuals, and the tie-in Swamp Thing issues from Scott Snyder, this is the ultimate package featuring one of DC's most unusual heroes.

Free of the Knightmares unleashed upon him by Bane and the Flashpoint Batman, Thomas Wayne, Bruce finally begins to unravel the mystery behind how the Flashpoint Batman survived the collapse of his universe in BATMAN TP VOL 11 THE FALL AND THE FALLEN, from Tom King, and a range of artists, including Mikel Janin, Jorge Fornes and more. But can Batman decipher this mystery before Bane arrives and tries to claim Gotham as his own?

The planet of Apokolips maintains its tyrannical rule, with Darkseid at its head, through tyrannical, military force. But it's always the men who do the fighting, and now Granny Goodness thinks it's time for the women, from Big Barda to Lashina, to stand up and take up arms in FEMALE FURIES TP, from Cecil Castellucci and Adriana Melo. But that's not all, for you'll also get to read Jack Kirby's original Mister Miracle #9, which features the first ever appearance of the Female Furies.

Grant Morrison and Liam Sharp wrap up their first season of the Green Lantern with GREEN LANTERN HC VOL 02 THE DAY THE STARS FELL. Featuring team-ups with old allies, such as Green Arrow and Star Sapphire, and new, with a multiverse of different Green Lanterns. What was the alien threat that ruined a Jordan family reunion? Plus, how do the dreaded Blackstars return, and what is their latest scheme to force Hal Jordan to join their ranks?

When you return to Sam Davis' imaginative vet clinic for magical creatures with HEX VET ORIGINAL GN VOL 02 FLYING SURGERY, you'll be in for an absolute treat. For this volume coincides with the monthly Winged Creature Clinic event, where you'll get to meet all sorts of inventive and original winged magical creatures, and learn how to cure what ails them, thanks to Nan and Clarion.

Following Van Jensen's popular adaptation of Ian Fleming's debut James Bond novel, Casino Royale, he's back, with artist Kewber Baal, to bring you 007's next adventure, as Ian Fleming originally imagined it with JAMES BOND LIVE & LET DIE HC. Gone are the overly fantastical elements from the movies, and in its stead is left a gritty action-adventure, that moves from New York City to Jamaica, and will see Bond in for the fight of his life against the SMERSH gold-smuggling agent, Mr. Big.

But 007 isn't the only secret agent vying for your attention this week, as Loki, the one man intelligence agency for Asgard, has his entire Agent of Asgard series collected in one volume with LOKI AGENT OF ASGARD COMPLETE COLLECTION TP. Featuring work from Jason Aaron, Al Ewing, Lee Garbett and more, experience how, even when you're the Norse God of Mischief, there's more to the espionage game than a few clever tricks, you have to keep you're audience captivated, both reader and the characters.

Four of Batman's greatest foes have broken free of the cardboard prison called the GCPD Rogues 5-pack, and now they've been recaptured and put in isolation. So if you're after just your absolute favourites from the set, now is the time to add any of the BATMAN THE ANIMATED SER BANE AFBATMAN THE ANIMATED SER KILLER CROC AFBATMAN THE ANIMATED SER MR FREEZE AF & BATMAN THE ANIMATED SER POISON IVY AF figures to your collection. Be quick, before they try to escape again.

But Nurse Death doesn't arrive alone this week, she's also joined by the DC Bombshells incarnation of the mighty Mary Marvel, with DC BOMBSHELLS MARY SHAZAM STATUE. Attired in her electrifying marching band outfit, she's ready to lead the charge against anyone who dares try to do harm to another.

Since his first issue, Tom King has delivered a fortnightly book that presented some of the most emotionally hard-hitting Batman stories out there. But now with BATMAN #85, featuring art from Mikel Janin, the conclusion to the City of Bane story line, King reaches the conclusion of his time on the main Batman book, as the fight for Gotham City reaches its climax. Who will remain standing by the end, Batman or Bane? Whose city will Gotham be? How does this lead to King's next Batman book, Batman/Catwoman? The answers lie here.

Another finale also arrives in the form of KING THOR #4 (OF 4), which is Jason Aaron's farewell to Thor and the mythology Aaron has added to in the biggest way since Walt Simonson. Featuring many of Aaron's past artistic collaborators, including Esad Ribic, find out how the final battle between the God Butcher, Gorr, and the King of Asgard, Thor, ends, on the eve of the timely collapse of the Multiverse.

But it's not all about ends this week, for there are new beginnings too, including VISITOR #1 (OF 6), a new miniseries and Paul Levitz's Valiant Comics debut, with art from Mj Kim. The Visitor is a mysterious figure; untraceable, unstoppable and unkillable. He is the harbinger of great change, and the world leaders are terrified of him. What change will be forced on mankind when the Visitor arrives once again?

If you've been missing the Walking Dead, creators Benjamin von Eckartsberg and Thoman von Kummant believe they have something to fill the hole with their new series, which kicks off with GUNG HO #1. After the event known as the White Plague, humanity is barely able to survive in fortified town or villages. In Europe, which is classified as a danger zone, two troublesome teen brothers, Zach and Archer Goodwoody seek refuge in the Fort Apache colony, but will they be able to pass the rigorous screening process?

If you have an itch for an exciting, sci-fi manga, then this week, you can finally scratch it with DIRTY PAIR OMNIBUS GN, from Haruka Takachiho and Hiaso Tamaki, the acclaimed artist behind the Star Wars: A New Hope manga series. Kei and Yuri, collectively known as either the Lovely Angels or the Dirty Pair, work as special consultants for the Worlds Welfare and Works Association. They're there to deliver some good, old-fashioned justice to space faring criminals, and now you can experience it all in this single volume.

W. Maxwell Prince and Martin Morazzo are back with a fourth scoop of delectably sweet horror stories with ICE CREAM MAN TP VOL 04 TINY LIVES. There are plenty of people, good and bad, who are just barely scraping through life, and will do anything to move beyond that desperation. Even if that means making a deal with the fiendish Ice Cream Man...

Supernatural horror and sci-fi space adventuring continue to be mashed together in the highly acclaimed series from John Layman and Afu Chan, with OUTER DARKNESS TP VOL 02. The shady past of the mysterious Captain Riggs is revealed, while Charon finds a haunted house deep in outer space. But when they go to investigate it, they'll find that, while it may be a haunted house, it is by no means abandoned.

After two millenia of being the symbols of religion, Buddha, the Enlightened One, and Jesus, Son of God, decide it's time to take a holiday to kick off the 21st century and the third millenium. That's where we find the deities in SAINT YOUNG MEN HC GN VOL 01, from Hikaru Nakamura, as they begin their holiday in Tokyo, where they share an apartment. But with their different temperaments, have Buddha and Jesus just become our new Odd Couple?

Add some new mutant heroes to your action figure collection this week with X-MEN LEGENDS HAVOK/POLARIS 6IN AF 2PK CS, with Cyclop's brother, Havok, and one of Magneto's daughters, Polaris. Styled after their 90s incarnations (Havok even has a bomber jacket!), and in packaging inspired by their trading cards from the same period, this is the ultimate collection of some of the best mutants of Marvel's tumultuous time in the 1990s.

You get all of that? Can you see now why we are scared...please send help!
If you spot something you need, let us know before close on Tuesday to ensure we can get it sorted for you.
Until we see you next, stay rad, live life and read comics!

  1. I'm someone who has lived a life seemingly in the background, I must say this final indignity I have suffered almost too much to endure. You see, I have been sickly and weak since the day I was born and doomed to go through all my life a weakling. I seemed to have always suffered from one illness or another and could never play with the other children as I so desperately wanted to. Mother always made such a big fuss over me, also, making the situation worse as the other boys teased me mercilessly after they saw it. I was browsing  the internet searching on how i could be transformed into a powerful when i came across the email of a man named Lord Mark. who was a VAMPIRE so I told him that I has always dreamed of becoming a  VAMPIRES, All i did was just to follow the procedure that i was been told, and i bet you that procedure I took change my entire life to something i ever desire, freedom, sickness free, pains free, fame, influence, connections and even more that i can. Thanks to Lord Mark. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable? To have wealth, health, and longevity? contact the vampires creed today via email: Vampirelord7878@gmail.com
