New X-men brings together Writer Grant Morrison and a slew of great artists including Frank Quietly and Ethan Van Sciver. Together with this team of top flight talent Morrison created an examination of a species evolving into a better, more amazing animal. 

Using a compelling and exciting action narrative that all X-fans will appreciate Morrison shaped the Marvel mutant universe into a dynamic and interesting science fiction playground. And once it wrapped up it took Marvel all of 2 issues to disregard this amazing series from continuity. Excelsior!

This pick is a smaller format than what you might be used to and most likely is one you have already read but it still contains six issues and for this price there is absolutely no reason you couldn't pick this one up and pass off as a gift to a friend you know is keen to get into superhero books!

New Comics For Wednesday 26th of February

Well, well, well...looks like February has all but disappeared behind us and March is fast approaching! We all just need to calm down and read some comics...like these ones.

A brand new FANTASTIC FOUR #1...now they have red costumes! The first issues of the BATMAN SUPERMAN and WORLDS FINEST crossover "First Contact" story is out. The second act of Sydner's WAKE starts with issue #6. Gail Simone delivers us another iconic female hero title with TOMB RAIDER #1. Something nasty about a guy that has his face removed in REVENGE #1.The next collection in Kirkman and Spencer's THIEF OF THIEVES TP VOL 03  hits. Finally a new printing of Ennis excellent covert tale UNKNOWN SOLDIER TP is out. One of the best comedy and underrated reads of last year SUPERIOR FOES SPIDER-MAN TP VOL 01 is definitely worth a look in. It's always hard to ignore the next book of INVINCIBLE TP with VOL 19 THE WAR AT HOME. And hopefully our copies of ONI's new hit web series BUNKER #1 will finally make it here!
