Comics For Wednesday 28th September!

Despite the fact that Marvel have a billion more books coming out this week, we thought it only fair to put DC on top of the pile as it has, without a doubt been their month.

PLEASE NOTE: None of the DC issue 1s are available for holds. If you would like a copy of one of them you can still let us know, and we will attempt to get you a re order or second print. At this stage though, with high worldwide demand for these books, they are becoming difficult to get stock of.

Regular proceedure applies for the rest of the books listed though.

DC 52 Update!

Hi all,

If you've been into All Star in the last two days, you might have noticed a distinct lack of DC issue 1s. We assure you that we got them in but due to a problem getting re-orders in with diamond all of these were divided  up between our 52 group and standing order customers.

This unfortunately means a couple of things, first, as we said in our post on Monday, we couldn't guarantee to customers that post their hold lists on Facebook that we would be able to fill the order. As of now, we can't guarantee that we will be getting first prints of these issues back in stock either. As we have previously stated, we will work on getting second prints of these titles in, however you may want to look elsewhere for copies of these issues. Now if you were one of the unlucky ones who posted their list on Facebook and we can't fill your DC titles, we would like to offer you a 15% off voucher, which, as the name implies, will give you a 15% discount your next purchase. This will be deducted off the total shelf price of your purchase.

Secondly, we cannot accept any holds on DC titles next week. We'll have more about this in the post next week of course.

Once again sorry, it has been a crazy month. As we said a couple of days ago, while it is exciting to see how popular the books have been, we hate dissappointing people.

An Important Note Regarding DC Issue Twos!

As you may know by now, the response to the new DC universe has been beyond what anyone could have expected with stores all over the world selling out. We’ve been putting orders through to Diamond what seems like daily to make sure we not only have enough comics to fill orders, but also some to put on the shelf.

With this in mind, we have to start thinking about these books down the line. There’s nothing we hate more than telling a customer we don’t have something so we want to know what issue twos you would like.

If you have a standing order with us and would like to guarantee an issue 2 of something that you previously haven’t put down, please tell us. Don’t think of this as you locking yourself into something. If you think you want an issue 2 of something we’ll add it to your order, if you decide on the day that you don’t want it then we won’t pressure you at all to buy it. We will be happy to put it back on the shelf.

For those of you that don’t have a standing order with us but get us to hold books for you on a regular basis, we need to know what issue twos you’re interested in now. Because of the popular demand of the DC books at the moment, we are asking you to either e-mail us a list of issue twos you would like or just mention it in the Facebook comments.

For everyone who is part of the 52 program, we will be giving you a form which we would kindly request you return to us with a list of titles that you would like to keep from the 52 issues you picked up.

While it is a little exciting to see a blank space on the shelf knowing how popular something has become, at the same time, we don’t want people walking away disappointed.

-The All Star Team

Comics For Wednesday 21st September!

Week 4 of DCs big relaunch and books continue to fly off the racks. We've had a really great response to this initiative from DC and would like to thank the incredible response of the All Star customers. Of course, in saying that, please be aware that due to popular demand, some of the DC 1 titles listed below may not make the shelf or we might not be able to put them on hold for you. If you want them though, let us know and we will put your name down for when we get our re-orders in, we don't want you to miss out. Everything else, just follow the regular deal.

All Star Universe Presents: The March of the Super People!

To celebrate the relaunch of the DC Universe and 52 number ones we thought we'd do something a little crazy. With Action Comics having just hit to fantastic critical response and Superman, Supergirl and Superboy to follow we want you to get inspired and dress up as one of the Super family for a MARCH OF THE SUPER PEOPLE!

The plan is on Saturday the 24th of September at 1:00 pm those dressed up will walk (or fly for those with that ability) from All Star Comics Melbourne to, where else, Red Cape Lane in QV. Everyone who comes dressed up will get a raffle ticket that goes in the draw to win a prize pack.

This is a family event so bring be sure to bring everyone along. There will be a quick speech given once we reach QV and opportunities for photos.

Big thanks to QV Melbourne for allowing us to do this. Please make sure to say your coming on our Facebook event page and we'll see you all there!
